Hi Ariana, that description looks correct, though I'm a little rusty on all the characteristics that apply to the two organizational structures so I could be overlooking something. I'd definitely suggest using the AHPP and trusting that over anything else you've been seeing. Not sure what youtube videos you've been watching or what study guide on this forum you're studying, but the AHPP is going to give you the best, most accurate info.

(Tall) = many levels, long chain of command, slow communication, more training of employees

(Flat) = few levels, fast communication, less oversight is needed, high expertise ppl

Ariana -- I think your description are correct as I've quoted them above.  However, I believe your have Studio and Department assigned to wrong organizational structure.

    I’m looking at AHPP 15th Edition-Chapter 10 - Figure 10.4 Large Firm Structures - Page 611

Kurt: This chart shows “Department“ assigned to Horizontal(Flat)
And “Project remains with same team throughout” Studio as Vertical(Tall).

Is this the figure that aligns with the topic of this post?

For sake of my clarity can someone here please point me in the right direction with regards to the AHPP?
