    Hi Neha,

Take a look at the objectives for the CE division, described in the 5.0 Handbook.  Objective 2.2, for example, is about construction conformance with various requirements, including regulatory issues.  ADA standards could appear in that section, in the context of reviewing a project under construction and understanding how to determine accessibility compliance or how to fix an issue that's out of compliance.

    Does that help?

Thanks Michelle. I guess what  I am asking is do I have to memorize the codes, or will they be provided with the questions based on them. I understand the responsibilities around code compliance but probably don't know all of the clearance values etc. by heart. So question is, shall I spend the time memorizing those?

    Hi Neha,

Generally speaking, the exam assesses your understanding of the concepts behind codes and accessibility and how to apply the requirements.  For instance, you should know that cane detection is required in certain areas, but you wouldn't be expected to memorize the specific dimensions for it.  Make sense?

I’m sorry but I have to disagree. I had a question where you clearly had to know a specific dimension. There was no other context given beyond “what isn’t compliant”.
