    Joseph,

    There's no "partial credit" given on any of the 5.0 tests.  If the ARE calculator is not showing that a 5.0 test is completely covered - meaning it's as if you've taken it and passed it - then you need to take and pass the full test. 

    To clarify - if you're thinking "If I pass SPD, does that mean when I take the 5.0 tests that I don't need to study any site planning-related stuff because I already have the credit to cover it?" The answer is a firm no.  I looked into this with NCARB back when I was testing.  Unfortunately, the "2 of 4 sections passed" that you see on the calculator means nothing.
