When I first read the comments about the exam lagging, I imaged what it would be like, but the test is so much worse. Every single question I had lagged - and don't even get me started on the case studies. Even highlighting/striking something out would lag. At one point - I waited at least a minute for a question to load..a minute may not seem like a lot of time but when you're racing the clock to get through all your questions, that is such a long amount of time.
My frustration definitely got the best of me on this test because every single question...120 questions would start off with a lag. I couldn't focus whatsoever because I had to think about whether to highlight something or not. I also had to think about whether to mark it to review later or not because then there would be more lag in trying to go back to it. I even ended up using my left hand/fingers to cover answers because that was easier than using the tools that NCARB provides. The test became more about how to calm myself with the lag & prevent myself from having an anxiety attack rather than take the actual exam. I'm not sure if anyone else has had similar experiences but I am just so frustrated with it.
The case studies were absolutely horrendous. If you click on zoom out - it zooms in to 300%, and you have to wait until it finishes loading, to reload until you get the page on your screen. You also have to wait until they load up. I think I'm a pretty patient person, but this test definitely got the best of me. I couldn't even take the 15 min break bc it lagged so much that I ended up running out of time.
I felt pretty confident going into the exam & felt like I covered all my basis but once it started, I felt otherwise. I have a strong feeling I will have to retake this & I hope by then this issue is fixed or I don't know what else to do. I'm not sure I am ready to sit through another 4 hours of lag at every question again.
