Do (International) Prometric Testing Availabilities Fluctuate As People Cancel/SIgn-up?

    Darryl,

    It's likely it will be more difficult to schedule over the next few months at the Hong Kong test center (as well as most other test centers) due to the retirement of ARE 4.0 in June.  While it may be worthwhile to check back to see if you can get a seat, you may not be able to find an opening.  If you can be flexible with the days of the week you test, that may help.  Weekends are obviously most popular, and the Hong Kong test centers are not open 7 days/week.

    Thanks for the reply, Joan. So it sounds like the general answer is "yes, testing slots will/can open up."

     

    I went ahead and scheduled my slots anyways since even if things CAN open up, I'm not sure whether they will actually open up. Unfortunately, the testing slots in HK are only on Tuesdays and Thursdays so it's quite limited to some of the availabilities I've seen in the US testing centers.
