    Colleen,

Any current ARE 4.0 candidate who has not completed the ARE by June 30, 2018 will be able to transition to 5.0 on July 1, 2018.  (Obviously you can transfer prior to that date as well, if you choose to.)

    Joan,

Thank you for your response. My more specific question is whether or not I'd be required to wait 1 year to take any of the 5.0 exams after transitioning over (only if I fail this exam a third time.)

    Thank you!

    Colleen,

No, you wouldn't have to wait a year to test in 5.0.

I would suggest that you utilize Designer hacks practice exams and stay in 4.0. As you can see from the many posts 5.0 is a bear to get through and the design vignettes are much easier than the case studies as they mostly deal with the disciplines tested upon for that specific 4.0 exam. 5.0 tests on all disciplines all at once and questions can come from anywhere in the boundless source material.
