Do we need to have climate zones memorized for the exam??

  Hi,
  
  You need to know they exist as a means of grouping areas by shared range of annual temperature, humidity, and precipitation patterns.  And have a good understanding of the implications those patterns have on what building systems are more or less likely to work well within each zone.  Like most topics for the ARE, memorization isn't really what you want to be doing with it!
