Using "an" before "historic"
It drives me crazy that instead of saying "a historic zone", NCARB uses "an historic zone". I googled whether this was appropriate and the answer I received was "In all main varieties of English, the use of an as the article preceding historic (an historic) is an unnecessary affectation."
This is my petition to change this in all NCARB language moving forward.
