Taking Exams in different jurisdictions
I’m currently pursuing my M.Arch in Florida, where the jurisdiction requires an accredited degree before you can sit for the ARE exams. However, after speaking directly with NCARB, I learned that it's possible to take the exams under a different jurisdiction that doesn't have this requirement.
I’m currently considering Wisconsin as a potential jurisdiction to get a head start on my exams. Has anyone here gone this route—testing under a more flexible jurisdiction and then transferring later? I'd love to hear about your experience. Did it work out smoothly, or did it cause complications down the line?
