    I'm guessing they asked you to choose a passive heating/cooling strategy based on climate zone, based on a given latitude. In that case it's either gona be a small number (hot) or large number (cold). I don't think it will ever get more specific than that.

    Yes it was along those lines, now would 35 degrees be considered a low or high number ? i have 0 exp with this type of stuff - thank you for your response j

    For questions like that ask you to identify or locate a site just by latitude (like 35 degree north), it is all about understanding climate zones and solar angles. A building at 35 degree north would be in a warm temperate zone (think parts of the southern U.S., like North Carolin or Central California). It is helpful to know the general characteristics like mild winters, hot summer, and a sun angle that is a high in summer and low in winter making passive solar design and shading strategies really important.     Understanding latitude and sun path is critical for PA PPD & PDD. Make sure you understand this well before taking another exam. Good luck!

    haha yeah passed PA two weeks ago , This test felt like an extension of it! studied a bunch on suns effect - was definitely thrown off by it not giving me a State, climate zone or saying cold - thank you so much
