PSI browser crashes during remote testing
-
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience, ashisharch. I also experienced some technical issues when testing at home (back in 2021-2022) and understand how frustrating it can be. Luckily, the proctor was able to resolve the issues each time so that I could resume my exams, but it did add stress to an already stressful situation.
If you ever encounter a technical issue or lagging in the exam, definitely notify your proctor immediately. Don't wait until it is possibly too late. Check out page 33-35 of the ARE 5.0 Guidelines for additional information on what to do if you encounter technical issues prior to or during your exam.
I have also heard of technical issues occurring in testing centers as well, so these issues may not be exclusive to online remote testing. It sounds like it is case-specific can can occur regardless.
Either way, I hope you don't experience these issues again. Best of luck!

I just did the PDD exam today and experienced the same lag issues, having never experienced them before on 6 other exams (last one taken in December). It was SO frustrating and I really couldn't get through the test. It crashed for the final time before I was able to submit my results, so I don't know if NCARB will receive the results, or if I passed/failed. It will be a miracle if I pass because I wasn't able to access the exhibits for the case studies due to the lag. I hope NCARB recognizes that there is an issue with the PSI platform!
