Exam Content Loading Too Slowly

Hi all,

I took the CE exam today (March 30) and experienced a serious issue with system performance—particularly compared to when I previously took the same exam.

Throughout the test, page transitions were noticeably slow, but what really impacted me was the Case Study section. It took around 30 seconds or more for reference materials like drawings and documents to load. In some cases, the documents appeared blank for a while before finally showing up. Because of this, I couldn’t reasonably view all the necessary materials, which directly affected my ability to answer the questions properly.

 

For reference, I was testing from home, and my Wi-Fi is fast and stable. I had no such issues during my previous attempt, so I’m wondering:

•Has something changed on PSI’s end (e.g., server load, delivery speed, etc.)?

•Was there a system-wide slowdown today?

This really felt unfair and frustrating. I’d appreciate hearing if anyone else had the same experience, or if NCARB/PSI can shed any light on what happened.

  1. Have you used Ethernet cord. 2. Have you scheduled test run exam (30 minutes exam w proctor). If so have you tried to open any case study materials during test session?
