Testing Center Mouse Sensitivity
I've been testing at a local PSI center and wonder if I can request them to change the mouse sensitivity? The last exam I could barely click properly or sketch on the whiteboard because their mouse sensitivity was super weird. I was super frustrated the entire exam, and it really threw me off because I was used to taking the practice exams with my own mouse and sensitivity.

Hi saourc,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience, as I'm sure that caused a great amount of stress while taking an already very stressful exam.
I don't know if you have the ability to adjust settings on the testing center's devices, but have you tried or considered taking the exam via remote/online proctoring? Because you mentioned that you were comfortable with your own mouse and its sensitivity, I think having the ability to use your own devices could help ease these stressors when taking the exam.
Taking a practice exam is a great way to not only test your knowledge, but also to become comfortable with the exam interface and tools. Simulating the real exam during your study process can help ease any testing anxiety. What better way to do this than to use your own devices in a setting that you are comfortable with? :)
I took all of my exams via online proctoring and personally had a great experience. I did encounter some technical issues, but all were resolved appropriately. I knew that I could have encountered technical issues regardless of where I took the exams, but for me, I would have rather experienced them in my comfortable environment.
Check out the ARE 5.0 Guidelines to read more about taking an online-proctored exam (starting page 26) to see if it might be a good option for you. Of course, it is all about personal preference and there are many pros/cons to both proctoring choices (many other factors involved aside from this specific discussion), but it doesn't hurt to weigh your options!
Good luck!
