NJ or NY Exams
I was under the impression that an individual can take exams once the experience for that category has been completed. But my colleague says that in NJ you have to complete your experience in all 6 settings before you are able to take any exam.
I have completed my experience for programming and analysis and construction and evaluation. I am eager to start taking exams, but I don't know if I can in NJ. I only need about 1200 more hours to complete it all. Is it worth it to start taking exams in NY? Are there any disadvantages to this approach? Any input is welcomed and appreciated!

I would reference the licensing requirements tool and compare/contrast requirements for both states to see their thresholds for experience, testing, etc.
