NCARB Test Question: Says stair tread max height
One of the questions in NCARB practice test for PPD says the max tread riser height is 6", I thought it was 7"?

Because the max riser height is 6" in the context of the question, 21/6 = 3.5 which rounded up gets you 4 risers with a rise of less than 6".
While IBC max is 7", that is irrelevant for the context of this question as it states that the max riser height is 6" (for whatever unknown reason). They throw these in there to trip you up and get you to read and think about what you are being asked. It was easily the first thing I learned when doing the practice tests prior to my exam blitz.
