Difference from Panels with Sheathing on Both Sides of Studs
A panel with sheathing on both sides of studs is not the same as a stressed skin panel:
In a stressed skin panel, the core is continuous and directly bonded to the skins, providing integrated structural performance.
In a stud-and-sheathing system, the sheathing and studs act as separate components, with the studs carrying most of the load and the sheathing providing lateral stability or acting as a diaphragm.
