ARE PPD EXAM

I recently took the PPD exam this week, but I’m not feeling very confident that I passed. The exam felt completely different from the material I studied. I don't think I need to purchase more study material than I already have.

Study materials I used:

1. Brightwood ARE 5.0
2. Ballast Building Systems
3. Elif’s Practice Quizzes/Exams
4. Architect’s Studio Companion

During the exam, the questions seemed to focus more on application and scenario-based problem-solving rather than what I had prepared for. If anyone has passed the PPD or has advice on what to study and how to approach it, I’d really appreciate your guidance.

  I feel you. I just took my second try this past week and am not so confident I passed even though I prepared thoroughly and used the recommended resources. It seems like there is a lot more on seismic than they lead us to believe so check out the FEMA 454 document chapters 4 & 5. Also check out Heating, Cooling, and Lighting by Norbert Lechner if you can, it gives very good and detailed explanations on daylighting and shading.

  Yes, I had a lot of questions on seismic and structural than I thought would be on the exam. Awesome, thanks so much I will look those up

  Same here!! I just took mine yesterday and got a "likely fail." There were a lot of PDD-related questions that I was not prepared for. Did y'all end up passing?
