ADA Codes (Programming & Analysis)
My question is regarding ramps; specifically, accessible landing lengths vs. egress landing lengths.
A) Ramp Landing Length (for accessible, everyday entrances): 72 inches
B) Ramp Landing Length (for emergency egress, areas): 60 inches
Are the above correct?

Hi Jason,
It depends on how wide the ramp is. Typically they are 60" wide min. Egress is similar; it varies. There must be 48" space between doors in a series. The landing at the top of a ramp and door egress can overlap too, but the door swing cannot be in the ramp landing area. You should review the section on ramps in the ADA 2010 doc. Hope this helps!
