  Mr. Chen,

  My best friend from college died of Cancer several years ago at 61. He worked for I.M. Pei and his Son for a long time. Both father and son's attention to detail was incredible.

  I read of your goal for the Great Park in Irvine and your search for a position in local politics. I worked on numerous projects at the Irvine Ranch and Great Park. I have enjoyed sharing my thoughts with you since I started in Irvine over three decades ago.

  Although I have not read your book, I appreciate that you have contributed good reference material to the education of future architects.
