AXP - Recording Experience - O Setting
Hi!
I'm having some trouble with getting the required experience to complete my AXP.
So, I have completed my education in Ontario Canada (Bachelors and master's in architecture). While in school, I also concurrently worked in an architectural firm for 6 years under a licensed architect. So, after I finished my school, I decided to move to New York and I started recording my hours to AXP previous experience. However, my hours only got 50% of the credit towards AXP as most of them were prior to 8 months of recording them. This, unfortunately, ended up giving me about 2860 recordable hours.
When I moved to New York, I accepted a job in a construction firm, at which I been working for after 1.5 years now and I was able to record 640 hours through O-setting (Under Construction Work and Construction Related Employment). With these hours along with my previous hours, I'm short of 240 hours to complete my AXP (Project Management), however, I am not sure how to go about this as I do not see any other category in O setting that would allow me to complete the last 240 hours through my current employment.
The only option I see is quitting my current job and work for an architectural firm with a licensed architect. This is something I do not want to do due to the pay being sufficiently higher than what any architectural firm is willing to offer... and of course with New York being expensive like it is... I may not be able to. Also, because the construction firm I work with is a very reputable in New York, I do not want to negatively impact my relationship with them as I definitely see us crossing paths in future once I become licensed. Since 240 hours is about 6 weeks of full-time employment, it also would not make sense for me to leave and join another firm for this short duration of time in order to complete my hours. Again... this would also impact my relationship with this firm. Being in the industry for quite some time now... it is a very small world... and I keep running into the same people.
I tried contacting the NCARB to try to find a solution to this, however, it has been very unhelpful. During my current employment, I have connected with a lot of architects who I have worked very closely with during SD, DD, CD, and CA of multiple projects, but since they are not my "direct supervisors" I do not know if I can utilize this relationship as per NCARB's standards to record my hours.
So, I was wondering if anyone has gone through experience or know a solution to this. Any insight would be helpful. I have already completed my AREs, 240 hours in Project Management is the only thing holding me back from getting licensed.
Looking forward to seeing some insight.
Thank you in advance.

You can do continuing education related to project management to get you a max. of 10 hours . Is there anything under the project management tasks that you can ask your supervisor you can do to count?
