When determining the required parking spaces in a particular area, the regulations may vary depending on local zoning laws.   It also depends on the desired efficiency, one way angled parking is more efficient that perpendicular and parallel.  degree parking detail requires less stall and aisle area than 90 degree parking detail.

  On the exam, they will tell you what dimensions to follow, or give an area per parking stall. Hope this helps!
