Question About Ballast Exam (CE part)

There're a lot of questions about material, i.e. concrete, wood, in the Ballast Exam Book, which seem to be not covered by the Ballast Review Manual nor Black Spectacles video lectures...

Does the real ARE CE exam have questions like these? If so, is there any other good study material I can refer to?

  I got a copy of Building Construction Illustrated and found it helpful as a visual overview of key items. I also got an ebook copy of Fundamentals of Building Construction: Materials & Methods - it has a lot more detail which I found helpful for foundations in particular as it's not an area that I've had a lot of experience. It sounds like it's more detail than necessary for CE, but useful regardless.

  Thank you so much for these information! My colleague also told me that taking PcM and PjM first would be helpful for passing CE. The study materials info you provided are helpful too!
