I had an in-person PA exam scheduled at a test center today. I showed up and was ready to take the exam, everything looked correct but when the exam started it said "invalid URL please contact support". I then asked the test center worker to check out the system and they confirmed everything's good on their end (tried different browser, restarting the computer, put me on a different station, etc...) After 30 mins of trouble shooting they informed me that something's wrong with the NCARB's exam and I will have to reschedule through NCARB.
So this is a Sunday and NCARB customer service doesn't work on the weekends, I have no way of even knowing when i can take the exam right now but venting in the community forum lol
Normally I wouldn't care since I would just have some extra time to study, but it's very frustrating this time because it's my final exam and also my last available weekend in 2023 to take the exam. My goal is to pass all 6 divisions in 2023. Next week is thanksgiving and all my weekends are booked for the rest of the year. Then I am going on vacation for several weeks... This means I have to take time off during the week (which i dont have thanks to all the end of year deadlines) to take the exam, because if i dont, I will have to postpone this exam to next year, which means months of study material subscription that I shouldn't need to pay for.
I just want to bring to NCARB's attention that sometimes these types of technical screw-ups do not only impact the test taker's schedule but also the individual's finances, and can be quite significantly. So please help me reschedule some time this week before Thanksgiving or provide a refund and a free exam seat for a future convenient time.
Lastly I hope stuff like this doesn't to anyone else. I'm a pretty good test taker and don't get stressed out very easily, but I can easily see someone who doesn't deal with pressure having a very difficult time about something like this. I was in the test center for like an hour from checking in to siting around and waiting for the technical crew to troubleshoot just to tell me i cant take the exam today, to calling NCARB to find out I can't even re-schedule today because customer service dont work on weekends... This stuff shouldnt have happened at all, but it did. I have full confidence in NCARB that y'all can do a lot better than this!
Excuse my venting, i had too much time and too much energy since I didnt have to take the exam today LOL
