opening to wall area ratio
How do you find opening to wall ratio
-
It’s just a straight calculation of square footage. You take the portion of an elevation that’s glazed (in square feet) and divide it by the total square footage of the elevation to give you the percent glazed. This is often called the window to wall ratio (WWR). You can do this by elevation or for the whole building.
