Do you think the hill on the west of building B will block some daylight? I chose D, but the answer is B.

  The hill on the west side of building B may block some western exposure but it is not a bad thing. When it comes to daylighting and passive heating, the best /most ideal direction is southern exposure. Or elongated in east/west direction which if provided by the building B. Hope this helps!
