External Speaker During Exam

When I last took the exam, October 2022, which was my first under PSI - I was told by the proctor that I could not utilize my speakers. My computer desktop model does not have internal speakers. I have to use external speakers that are cable connected to the CPU and is on my desk surface. Why was this not allowed? I had to communicate to the proctor via chat only once test started. Has this changed? Under Prometric the speakers were not an issue as long as I showed  the proctor all around and the bottom of the speakers.

  I have speakers, but only used the chat window to talk to the proctor.

  I was told to remove the Bluetooth external speaker, which ended up auto closing of the testing browser because you need to specify another speaker. Ended up using the speaker integrated in the webcam.
