    In the context of steel construction, there's no difference between "rigid frame" and "moment frame." That said, "rigid frame" isn't a real engineering term, at least not one used in everyday discussions about moment frames by structural engineers (unless it's a regional term). Maybe it's just a phrase in some book on the NCARB Study Matrix (maybe it's in Amber Book?. . . I don't remember putting it in there, but I could see myself using that term inadvertently).
