    1. Make sure you have a webcam that can capture your ID( driver license) in a close shot clearly. Mine doesn’t focus at close shot so I have to call the technical support and they ask me to take a photo of my ID and send it to my desktop, they remote into my desktop and in order to do that I need to download a remote desktop connector. This is a pain of ass. 2. Make sure your webcam is securely fastened/connected to your computer, if it falls out or get disconnected from the dock you’ll lose all the connection to the browser and have to do it again the security process. This can easily happen when you use the webcam to show your room and desk and under the desk. 3. The proctor may not respond you during the room scan process, I feel abandoned and just sitting there waiting for them to respond, and they never did. This happened to me twice and this is very frustrating. If this happened, don’t panic, wait for up to 5 min and if still no response, close the browser and do it again. Eventually you’ll be assigned to a proctor that does his/her job.

All things considered, remote testing went relatively smoothly in my experience. No, it's not painless, but neither is having to commute to a testing center to test in-person. Would much rather test in the comfort of my own home than the alternative.

Regarding the ID, I recommend having a magnifying glass on hand. You can hold it in front of the camera to manually focus. Never had an issue doing that.
