Do not EVER do an online proctored test!!
JUST HAD THE ABOSOLUTE WORST TESTING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!! 2nd time taking PDD after taking a long break. 2 test left. I have put my entire life on hold to study for these tests and I just absolutely WASTED my time. This exam took me OVER 7 HOURS TO COMPLETE! Because of all of the technical difficulties. Not only that, but to my own fault, I scheduled the test for 9 PM instead of AM. On a Sunday. So I finished this test at 4:17AM Monday morning. To then get a failing result. I'm literally wiping tears through my last two technical support calls. I then have to immediately start all the actual work that I have put off to study for these tests. No part of me even wants to go through this again. I took the NCARB practice exam the night before, at 9 pm, to try and simulate the same environment and I got a passing score. I am beyond frustrated. These exam questions seemed SO random and the ones that weren't random were a "one of them is the better choice". I don't even work in the field of architecture anymore...I literally make 4x the money designing and selling cabinets than what I did in architecture...so there ya go NCARB, that's why you have a dying field.
(also just to top that all off, at 4:15 AM I walk out my front door to my water meter absolutely SPEWING water. Entire yard and front porch ankle deep. I can't even lock my front door the water has moved my house so much. Looked at my camera, and it had been doing that for over 5 hours...Of course, my husband is out of town...so I could focus on this test this weekend. So full circle, I haven't showered, done any laundry, or dishes in two days because I've been studying for this test and now I still can't...)
Rant over..thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. I needed to get that out of my system. I hope it could put a smile on your face today! We'll get there eventually guys! :) :)
