Penalty for an urgent restroom break
NCARB be reasonable. Took my PA exam today and had to urgently use the restroom during a question I wasn’t able to answer quickly enough and after I had flagged a bunch of questions I wanted to review. I simply can’t understand when we have been checked by the proctors (in-person) if we have anything on us that you can’t look at previous questions.
I’m not sure how one even could cheat on any of the exams. How do I show a third party the site plan, reference materials, actual question, and get the third party to “help” tell the exam taker where to “put building two so it’s outside of a flood plain and has views of the river….”
I’ve passed PcM, PjM, and CE so it’s not as though this is my first time. NCARB really needs to be more accommodating or at the very least let candidates know you can use the restroom without taking the break. Although I was told today that I would not be allowed to do that. If I needed a break I had to click it and call for a proctor. Which of course locks that question.
Apparently if you need some time on a question and “need” the break immediately for whatever reason, restroom, water, etc, you folks say “tough cookie”
