A code analysis template might not be "typical" but many firms create and tailor code templates to help expedite the code analysis process. It can also be helpful to include "lessons learned" information into the template to avoid similar scenarios in future projects. If a firm does a lot of work in certain jurisdictions, you will find that Architects begin to organize and explain their code analysis work in their drawings in a format tailored for the jurisdiction doing the building permit review.

Here are a few websites I have bookmarked and use from time to time.

Product iQ | UL Solutions (ulprospector.com) <--- Useful for finding fire-rated assemblies

Home (buildingcode.blog) <--- Check out the "Tools" tab for useful building code calculators

COMcheck-Web: Home Page (pnl.gov)  <--- Run energy calcs to confirm compliance with IECC
