Does anyone have any good resources or literature to focus on project manuals and spec’s? On my first attempt I did rather poorly in this category. This topic isn’t reviewed in the Amber book or really any other books I’ve read except briefly in AAHP. Thanks! RJ Schauer

  Look into the ARE 5.0 Review Manual and Practice Exams by Ballast from the Power to Pass publishers. Although Ballast can be exhaustive material with never ending chapters it will definitely prepare you with Specs and what’s included in the project manual.

  I second the CSI Practice Guide! Unlike the CSI Manual of Practice, it's free online. Very helpful for understanding the confusing front end stuff (procurement requirements vs. contracting requirements vs. Div. 01). I'm studying for PDD now, but I wish I had found it before I took CE because it also has a nice summary of contract modifications (CO's, CCD's) and bonds & insurance.
