    Hi Luiza,

    It looks like this detail was almost exactly taken from Architectural Graphic Standards. I have the 11th edition, and it is on page 66. I would highly recommend checking the book and reviewing similar details for different climate conditions. NCARB follows the AGS book in this matter.

    Hi Elif, thanks so much. You're absolutely right. I found the exterior shell details in AGS. I have access to the 12th Edition, seems like the layout is very different. In case anyone is curious it's on page 206 of the 12th.

    The warm side of the assembly means warm side of the stud.

    Vapor barrier is on interior side and weather barrier is on the exterior. Sometime, they call vapor retarder as vapor barrier too.
