Suggested Code Review
I will be taking the Project Management exam soon and continually struggle with any review questions concerning code related items. I work for a local design-build architecture firm that produces exclusively custom residential projects and therefore we use the IRC, sorta, kinda, for the most part? I just don't have a lot of professional experience with using code and knowing some typical rules of thumb. I know how to navigate the code when I have time to go through it but unfortunately, a timed exam is not the time and also isn't always provided in the question. Are there any study materials that somewhat compile the typically used codes? I don't even know if there's a way to study it without just reading it and using it in practice. But if anything like this exists, you better believe I'll be all over it!

- Start with IBC Chapter 11B to become familiar with the accessibility requirements.
- If you can find some sets of plans for commercial or public projects, look at the code analysis page and the IBC table used for the analysis, and become familiar with allowable area and ways to increase allowable area, allowable heights, type of constructions, occupant loads, exit widths calculations, plumbing fixture calculations, fire separation of buildings and allowable percentage of openings for exterior walls, etc.
