PPD Pass on 4th Attempt!!
I hate to sound like a broken record, but Amber Books was the solution that FINALLY helped my pass this test. After failing the exam 3 times I was starting to get really discouraged. I passed 3/6 on the first try and 1/6 on the second try, so 3 fails in a row had me VERY confused. Each time I sat for the exam I felt like there was so much I was unfamiliar with, and I began to believe my study material was inadequate. Everyone on here was raving about Amber Books, so I thought what the heck....
After doing Amber Books I finally felt like I truly understood the material enough to apply the concepts to the exam. You can't approach PPD trying the memorize everything. You must understand the concepts and then apply what you've learned. I know Amber books is pretty expensive, but it is worth it. I feel like it not only helped me with the test, but is also helping me professionally. If I could go back in time and tell myself to get over the cost and just do it, I would.
There are a few additional resources I found helpful as well:
- HyperFine practice problems
- NCARB practice exams.
One exam to go. Feeling ready to tackle it and get my life back!!

Whitney,
I purchased the Amber workbook a couple of years ago with the videos and practice quizzes, got really busy at work, and didn't follow up with it. I think I'm out of luck on the looking at the videos, since my initial year license has elapsed. Darn! The way the Amber workbook is structured though always made me feel like there was another book I needed to study before tackling the workbook. Did I miss out on one of there study books?
