PDD - Practice Exam question (door clearance)

I am confused about one of the questions in the PDD Practice Exam.

I agree with the answer that to bring the door to clearance the architect should move the door right by 14".

But I believe that the graphic is wrong, since the 32" clear dimension should be measured to the inside face of the open door and not the outside face, as with a 1.5" thick door, the clearance would only be 30.5" which is not ADA compliant.

This is source of confusion when taking the practice test so the question should be revised (unless I am missing something).

  Why the answer is B with 18” clearance and not A with with 12”? The door looks like it’s front approach-push

  18" min is required on the pull side of the door and 12" in required on the push side of the door per ADA.
