Have you looked at this? Neither NY or Wisconsin require a NAAB degree for initial licensure.

It looks like most of the states accept EESA, just not WI or NY.  WI or NY would want you to pay to verify your credentials. I'd pick another state if you don't want to do that.

New York and Wisconsin will accept a CACB for initial licensure. Check this link.

In order to get a reciprocal license you have to check each state out that you may be interested in. Once you have your initial license the NAAB degree may not matter so much but the NCARB certificate will and thats the bigger ticket you may need for a reciprocal license. Using the same link above switch to Reciprocal license and select the state to see what they require.

There are options to get the NCARB certificate without a NAAB degree once you are initially licensed. See this link:https://www.ncarb.org/advance-your-career/ncarb-certificate/get-certified

Hi Briitany, thanks for the info. Maybe my question was not clear enough. My CACB certification is not for education from a Canadian University. It's from an international university (India). So I'm curious to know if any Indian educated Architects having CACB certification have been able to get licenced through NCARB and if so for which state? And what was the process they followed? Thanks

Hi Divya. Did you find an answer for your question? I have CACB and filled my experience in Canada but want to write the exams in US. I know that many people do this but I don’t know how and what is the process.
I will really appreciate if someone help me
    Thank you
