ALTA Survey vs Boundary Survey?

Hi ARE community,

Could somebody help me clarify the difference between 'ALTA survey' and 'Boundary survey'? Seems they both include rights-of-ways, easements, zoning etc.

  ALTA survey uses parallels and meridians, checks, townships, and sections to locate the site area and its location; metes and bounds describes natural attributes on the site to locate the site area and its location
