The Whiteboard isn't that bad
Here's the scoop: the whiteboard isn't nearly as bad as everyone here seems to make it.
When NCARB updated to the "remote proctor" version they added the whiteboard and cut 20 questions out of every division. The exams felt so much more digestible with the smaller question sets than before. I also never took breaks, wasn't worth the re-check-in process. Shorter exams made this easier to do as well. I took few of the exams in each format.
Whenever I was studying or taking practice tests I used Microsoft paint to do equations and take notes. It's basically the same as the exam whiteboard. (MS Paint might even be trickier to use). I honestly didn't mind it at all.
My stats for reference:
- Started Amberbook in Sept 2020
- Used WeARE practice tests for all divisions. Also used Designer Hacks practice tests for my retake divisions
- PASS, PcM Nov 2020

- FAIL, PjM Nov 2020
- PASS, CE Nov 2020
