Working vs Calendar days and Holidays
Calendar vs Working with Holidays potentially buried in. When we get questions for example on a practice exam: "construction begins June 15 and is expected to be done...oh say July 14, and contractor needs "x" more days for a change order blah blah blah, when should construction be complete?" Do we not count the weekends and July 4th? AIA Docs define a day as a calendar day, do we assume and count Weekends and Holidays when answering the question? Or do we assume a working day only means M-F, do we still account for a Holiday? Thank you. I would really love if someone at NCARB could clarify how to add days.

Heather,
If you are asked a question of this type on the exam, there will be clarifying information provided within the question or in an exhibit (like a construction schedule showing working days). As long as you have an understanding of how to read, evaluate, and calculate construction schedules, you will be fine on the exam.
