Digital White Board Might Cause the Software Crash
I just successfully completed my remote proctoring exam for the first time. It’s my third attempt. And I believe part of the reason why the system didn’t crash this time might due to the fact that I have been restricting myself to use the white board through the entire exam.
This theory is based on my two very unsuccessful attempts and my husband’s two relatively successful attempts.
12/20/2020 (Sun) 19:00 Eastern Time PcM (me)
- Disconnect 1: 20 mins into the exam
- Disconnect 2: 20 mins before the end of the exam and no longer able to login after 3 hrs constant attempts
12/30/2020 (Wed) 19:30 Eastern Time PcM (my husband)
- Disconnect 1: login again
- Disconnect 2: login again and later finish and submit the exam
1/11/2021 (Mon) 19:00 Eastern Time PjM (me)
- Disconnect 1: around 1hr into the exam, and wasn’t able to login even with the help of ehelp Prometric agent remotely diagnosing the issue
1/19/2021 (Tue) 19:00 Eastern Time PjM (my husband)
- Disconnect 1: login again and later finish the exam
1/29/2021 (Fri) 22:00 Eastern Time PjM (me)
- No disconnect: after successfully launching the exam
After my exam today, I briefly discussed with my husband about this suspicion that heavy use of the digital white board might have been one of the reason of system crash since he has always been a light user of the white board.
I have been following everybody’s post and try to analyze a pattern of the software crash. Don’t know if any of you see any pattern on the reasons lead to these system disconnection.
We have been testing on a Windows 10 laptop connecting to a external monitor. We have cable internet connection. Our internet speeds is 650 mbps for download, 18 mbps for upload.
