A large national self storage chain has hired an architect to design a 56-unit one-floor self storage building in a mixed climate. Each of the storage rooms will be accessed through a roll-up garage door and they will be arranged in a windowless L-shaped building on either side of a double-loaded corridor. The units will be climate-controlled to protect from extremes (temperatures in any storage room at any time will be maintained between 55 and 90 degrees).
