How much math is on the PPD? Like from structures class?
I was told not to worry about structures math when studying for PPD, however, the PPI study guide has quite a few formulas and example problems. This includes calculating wind force, thermal stress, moments, free body diagrams, trigonometry, shear, quadratic equations, slenderness ratio, etc.
I've heard to focus on the concepts rather than the formulas, but there seems to be a lot of calculations requiring specific numerical results in the study guides. Will these be on the exam?

There is always the possibility of running into specific calculations on the exam, but it's more important to understand the concepts behind various calculations than the calculations themselves.
Also, questions will often provide equations if they're required for the question, in addition to the resources already provided on the exam. Familiarize yourself with those resources with the practice exams.
