This is the problem with the broad categories used for fail report sections in 5.0. . . they're so all-inclusive as to be useless for planning your studying. I'd bet that 90% of the questions on your next PDD attempt COULD fall under the category of "Integration of Building Systems & Materials". . . that could include elevators or concrete or roofing or enclosure or wood or masonry or HVAC, etc.. In ARE 4.0, the sections were labeled with titles like "plumbing," "lighting," "electrical," etc. . . Beginning in 2018, best not to focus on the fail report sections and just study the content generally. Get licensed!

Thank you Michael for such a great advice, the only issue is there are way too much info that could be in the exam. I am trying to know what to really focus on.

    Hi Marco,
I would suggest studying MEEB for this section. MEEB will cover all the building systems except structures. For structures, check out one of the books in the Guidelines like Simplified Engineering, Building Structures, or Fundamentals book. Section-1 is almost 1/3 of the exam so I think it is wise to focus on it. Together with Section -1, these books (especially Fundamentals and AGS) will help you to nail down Section 2, too. Section 1&2 are 2/3 of this exam. Hope this helps! Sending you best of luck!

I'd reread the PDD chapters in Ballast.  If there are any topics you are weak in, I'd read up on those topics in the Fundamentals book or the Building Construction book or BCI.

The best resource for PPD is ASC.  I read that in the last week or two before I took PPD and it was very helpful.  Do lots of practice exams too.

    Good luck!
