When to incorporate design requirements of AHJ?

    Yeah I agree the wording is a little ambiguous. What they most likely mean here is incorporating AHJ design requirements determined during previous phases.

    If the task said “determine design requirements of AHJ” then it would be dragged into SD or DD phase area.

    Hi Natalia,

    The FAR, building height, etc other basic massing regs are addressed in section 2, schematic design where it says "review applicable laws, codes, and regulations".  The design requirements in section 4 would be more detailed building code requirements -  things like stair height & width, fire ratings, for example.  I think if they used the word 'codes' rather than AHJ, it would be more clear.
