Case Study tabs not working- affected other ARE test takers as well
I took the CE division in NYC this morning Jan 23, and the case study tabs would not work. This is so frustrating and I remember seeing an ncarb policy on technical issues where if you see more than 75% of the questions you are bound to the 60day retake policy and whatever score you received will be valid regardless.
The proctor told me when I reported the problem that ncarb is already aware of the issue. Why not alert us to the issue prior to taking the exam. Obviously most people who are already on the case study portion would have seen more than 75% of the questions. Multiple other people had the same issue regardless of the divisions apparently. I have seen from other posts that this issue is relatively known and has been happening since early this month!

Hi Mitsuto and Brian,
NCARB has identified and resolved the case study reference issue. Check out this post for more information - https://are5community.ncarb.org/hc/en-us/community/posts/11955821208727

Good Morning NCARB,
The issue was not resolved as per your comment above on January 23rd, 2023 because it happened to me on my PDD exam on January 24th, 2023. Please refer to PSI incident report and ticket number 3145119 that was sent to you same day. Please take responsibility of your system problems. It’s not just about the seat credit. You can not count this as a legit fail. Please take this fail report off my PDD records. This is due to NCARB well known system issues before my scheduled exam and NCARB failed to notify me and my test center. You were aware of the system issues and should have canceled the exam till it gets resolved.
Thank You -
Hi Yvette,
The email went out to all candidates on January 26th noting that the issue was resolved (our test delivery vendor pushed a fix late on the 25th). The above post was a revision of a post from January 23rd. You'll see it says "edited 7 days ago" which is the 26th. Revisions on the community will show the original post date, not the revision date.
And again, we have taken responsibility for the bug and are issuing seat credits and waiving the 60-day retest policy in many cases. Please read this post from last Thursday - https://are5community.ncarb.org/hc/en-us/community/posts/11955821208727. Unfortunately, we don't handle specific candidate issues on this Community. You'll need to follow up with our Customer Service team if you have further inquiries about your exam administration.
