I had my last exam this past week, and I like to start with the case studies, and learned that my case studies material was frozen, and all I could see in both of the "supplemental documents" were the case scenario, but wouldn't load the plans, or code, or any additional documents that they provided for the case studies... Immediately called the PSI worker, and explained the situation, she instructed me to start from the beginning and she would make a call to NCARB to find out how to proceed. So thats what I did... 20 min later she came back into the room and asked me to try again... and it was still frozen, so she asked me to step away from the computer while someone would remote log in to my computer and try to fix it... 30 min later the problem was not solved, and I asked her how to proceed... she told me that NCARB would determine what was going to happen to my exam, but she told me I should try to finish the exam without having the additional documents, and call NCARB after the exam so I could get my exam Voided... So that's what I did... only to learn that because I looked at more than 75% of the exam, not only I have to wait 60 days to retake the exam, but also NCARB will count my attempt as a Failure for my records, (I already failed once, so that means I only have one more shot before having to wait a year)
Just wanted to make sure everyone is aware, that even if the software has technical issues, you WILL BE PENALIZED and wont be able to retake the exam right away and will count as an "Attempt" even knowing that you could not take the exam properly due to their technical issues. I strongly recommend any candidates to NOT listen to the PSI workers, who instructed me to finish the exam... I really wish she knew that if I tried finishing the exam, I would be shooting my self in the foot.
