ARE Review Manual vs ARE 5.0 Review Manual
Hello everyone,
First time posting and it may be quite a stupid question but I need some help. I purchased the 2nd edition of the ARE Review Manual published 2011 (grey book with a blue band) and just noticed that this is different from the ARE 5 Review Manual, published 2016 (book with a photo of a building) which I'm aware was recently updated to a new edition in 2020. Seems like mine was for the old ARE 4.0, but a lot of information in it is still relevant and useful, just organized in a different order.
Does anyone know of a free source to the ARE 5.0 Review Manual index only - simply for the purpose of comparing the chapters in both versions? I see a lot of the information referenced can be found in my older book and I'm trying to see if I can use this non-returnable book before having to purchase (yet another) book! Thank you!

The new version is longer, and organized differently. The chapters on PPD and PA are expanded/better.
I would not use that gray one. I used the blue one when I was studying, and I have the new one now as a reference for teaching ARE courses. The book isn't cheap, but you will use it for all the exams.
Hope this helps!
