    Hey George,

Sorry to hear about your testing experience. I recommend calling back NCARB Customer Service as soon as possible to report this problem. They will be able to assist you further on this issue.

I did call NCARB's customer service and reported the problem. I do not expect them to be of any help. This is really ridiculous in my opinion. The testing situation is hard enough (with this being my last one I know how it works) without the added stress of worrying about the system crashing. I held my breath every time the computer lagged to load a question for 5-10 seconds, but then eventually that crashed totally messed everything up. How can this possibly be ok? Aside from the waste of $210 since it is recorded as a fail, what about all of the hours I put in studying? It is one thing to just be like, well I just completely stb on this test and wasn't prepared, but to not have time to go through and check answers because of a system crash is completely unfair.

I don't believe it should count as one of my 3 fails for the calendar year at the very least, if NCARB can't be sure that the system wont crash during tests, how can it penalize people by saying they can't take tests due to problems arising from a system crash?

I'm not directing this anger towards you, Nick, but this is ridiculous. On top of it, now no one is answering the phone at NCARB on other matters I needed to contact them about.

I had a very similar experience for PPD in November, as did another woman at my exam site taking the exact same exam. It's concerning to hear that it happens in other exams. The Prometric woman said that the only solution, if the exams crash repeatedly like that, is to restart the router. Prometric can't do that because they have some many other exams going on at once.

I filed complaints with NCARB and Prometric. NCARB finally responded to me (via email) and determined that it is not an NCARB problem and it must be taken up with Prometric. Prometric is impossible. I could not get through to a representative, and they wait to respond (via email) until your ticket has "expired" and they can no longer help you - time frame is 2 weeks.

This is an extremely frustrating problem. These exams are expensive and require a lot of time and energy. It is so wrong that neither company will take responsibility and do the right thing! All you can really do is continue to call and leave messages and wait your turn.

    Hope you have better luck!
