    Hello Sailka,

Personally, I did not use Black Spectacles. I have heard others say that the topics discussed are too broad and never really dig deep enough into the subject matter to adequately prepare for the task. However, that's only what I've heard -- I can't speak from experience.

I did, however, use Pluralsight when I was studying for both PcM and PjM, and I would highly recommend it. It is less expensive than Black Spectacles - $29 a month. Depending on how long you're studying for, you could potentially subscribe for a month and then cancel to save money. Even if you go more than one month, that price is still less than Black Spectacles.

I think Kevin Griendling did a very good job putting this material together. The videos are a welcome break from hours of reading. He covers certain tricky concepts very well -- the financial concepts of PcM never really "clicked" for me until I watched his videos. He also refers you to other materials you should read, such as the AHPP. He's posted a study guide on this other thread:

    https://are5community.ncarb.org/hc/en-us/community/posts/219597667-Study-Materials

I used both his study guides for PcM and PjM, and I passed both on the first try.

Good luck on your future exams!

This is very helpful. I will give it a try and see how it goes. I have read through this community good reviews about Pluralsight. I just wanted to make sure.

My office offered to use Black Spectacles since it has AIA backup, but since I starring my research for any available study material, Pluralsight is been mentioned a lot and I got curious about it.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Stephanie,

I am also new on this, and I am literally going crazy with so many comments and so many different opinions. Based on what Sailka said, if you subscribe to Plugarsight you do not have to buy the books listed on the Matrix? this is my main confusion. i will appreciate your input. Thank you

    Lorena,

I would definitely NOT say if you buy Pluralsight you don't need matrix materials. I'm saying Pluralsight is a good supplement. I relied HEAVILY on matrix materials, especially AHPP. Refer to Kevin Griendling's AHPP outlines for specific chapters.

Thank you so much, Stephanie. I guess I will prepare myself to start buying the books they are very expensive.

    Hi Lorena:

"I have probably passed the last two weeks just looking to all the comments back and forth posted since the beginning of the years and downloading everything that can possible be downloaded"

Yep.  One of the smartest things a candidate can do is to take advantage of all the info on this forum, just as you are now doing.  Many people have already traveled the exact same path.

    Good Luck!

    You are welcome Lorena!

I went through all the comments and did the same, right now I'm focus only on the practice management forum, and that was how I found this link. You should keep looking.

I open the forum at least once a day and check, this is very valuable source, I'm very thankful to be part of this community.

Hi Michelle -- my understanding is that all the cool kids use this forum...

I think I set the record for use of this forum.  It's all in my rearview at this point, I'm just taking a couple victory laps before moving on...!
